Casa Yamulkan has soothing colors and a peaceful ambiance and is adorned with original art and fabulous Mexican handwork. For entertainment, a large selection of books, satellite TV, and a DVD player (please bring your own movies as no DVDs are provided) are available in the living room.
The recently updated kitchen has a raised breakfast counter that separates it from the dining room. The gorgeous, hardwood table seats up to 12 people. Casa Yamulkan is now offering 3 complimentary meal preparations (breakfast or dinner) during a one week (7 night) stay by our chef. Upon arrival, guests will plan meals with the chef, who can do the grocery shopping for you for a one-time fee of US$25 (cost of groceries is additional). Gratuity is not included.
The living room opens to the patio with its beautiful ocean views. Above the patio is a huge, open terrace made of local hardwood covered by a vaulted palapa roof, which is accented by stone and exposed beam architecture, giving the house an open spacious feel inside. This terrace has perfect views of the turquoise blue waters of Soliman Bay. Relax with a margarita in the shade of the palapa and enjoy your stay!
Two bedrooms and a studio (which can be a bedroom when needed) are on the main level. Each bedroom has a king-size bed and its own bathroom with stucco ceilings and air conditioning. The studio doubles as a bedroom with a futon that sleeps two and has a desk, SKY satellite TV, CD stereo, bathroom, and beautiful sea views.
The spacious, upper floor bedroom spans the entire depth of the house with large windows looking out on the ocean, private access open-air terrace with table and chairs, bathroom with shower, and kitchenette. It has a queen size bed, mahogany writing table, chairs, sofa and coffee table. No air-conditioning is needed upstairs as it has a palapa roof and two ceiling fans.
Two upstairs bedrooms share a bathroom and are covered by the palapa roof and are accessed by the staircase adjacent to the kitchen. The larger bedroom has ocean views. The smaller bedroom has a comfortable double futon with views of the inland jungle.
The Casita, a second-floor apartment, located behind the main house is available for an additional cost and can sleep two people. It has its own kitchen and palapa topped terrace.
On the main floor are two king-sized bedrooms with private bathrooms. Two bedrooms are located upstairs: one room has two single beds and the other has a double futon bed sleeping 2 people. In addition, the upstairs studio has a convertible futon sofa. The casita is a separate building and sleeps two people.
The casa is located on the beach where lounge chairs and a shade palapa await you. Snorkel right from the beach or use the two kayaks provided. There are also three friendly dogs who come with the house. The waves are gentle and safe for young children.
Casa Yamulkan is a shining example of beachfront living at its best. Settle in and enjoy your tropical vacation in high style. When you are craving activity, snorkel or kayak in the bay, take a short drive to Tulum, Coba, Xel-Ha or one of the many other attractions in the area.
